Consul General yesterday attended #dusshera celebrations at the iconic Calton Hill, Edinburgh, organized by the Scottish Indian Arts Forum. A wonderful evening celebrating the triumph of good over evil. Indian community continues their extraordinary work in promoting Indian culture and traditions in Scotland through the enactment of Ramlila, the burning of effigies, and vibrant performances.
Special thanks to Mr. Robert Aldridge,Lord Provost of Edinburgh, Ms. TracyGilbert, Scottish Labour MP for Edinburgh North & Leith, Mr. Scott Arthur, Scottish Labour MP for Edinburgh South West & Mr. Foysol Choudhury, MBE, MSP for gracing the occasion. The evening had special cultural performances with fusion of Scottish and Indian production.
